What’s a writer?

This short series of blog essays is a bit of my own opinion on what it is to be a writer. Writing is an important part of my life, so I'll be sharing just some of that here. So here's the first post on that article

Intro

Becoming a writer is much more than putting pen to paper and letting your ideas flow, let alone going through the process of becoming a published author. It’s more than planning and brainstorming your ideas to match what it is you’re trying to convey. It’s dedication to the craft, expecting hard work, and long hours of work and planning for the future. Don’t let that put you off, though. None of this is as scary or difficult as it seems. After all, if you have the patience to sit down and lose sleep and human interaction over writing a book, you can do this. Exploring what’s in a writer is about more than what you see in the books you read, that’s part of it but not all of it. It’s about you as much as what you write. There would be no connecting with your writing if you couldn’t connect with your inner writer after all.

There’s a lot of questions you can ask and a lot of different answers you can get, but every answer is unique to you asking the question. With that in mind, I can only give my own personal perspective on the questions and necessities to writing that I find to be the center of my inspiration and drive.
